The Library Bar and Grill The largest Norwich project to date from Jayne and Nigel Raffles, The Library Bar Grill takes its cue from sister establishments Pinocchio’s and St Benedict’s by combining style, atmosphere and good food but on a larger scale. Set in a building dating back to the 1830s, The Library Bar and Grill mixes old fashioned exterior with a gorgeous contemporary interior. The original panelling, shelving and lighting remains inside where a wow factor glass ceiling allows light to stream over the designer-feel place settings. The Mad Moose Arms & 1 Up Restaurant Totally transformed by a recent re-fit, The Mad Moose in Norwich is everything you’d want in a warm and friendly local, though this certainly isn’t your normal, run-of-the-mill bar. Walk in and on the ground floor you’ll find the laid back Mad Moose bar, serving up a good variety of drinks, ales, wines and the like. The Unthank Arms Located on Newmarket Street, The Unthank Arms is a cosy neighbourhood gastropub in Norwich which is an idyllic place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Also popular for weekday business meals and parties, The Unthank Arms comes complete with a painted red front, flowerboxes and a great selection of real ales and lagers. The restaurant boasts large windows which fill the room with natural light, and the menu is a celebration of classic British comfort food. We love the Unthank burger topped with mature cheddar with salad, mayonnaise and hand-cut chips; the homey-glazed hock of ham with peas, mash and mustard creamed leeks; and the homemade treacle tart served warm with custard.
