Summer project Team Leader
The National Citizen Service 2014 programme is planned to run over a 4 week period on the dates below. The scheme gives each young person the opportunity to take part in two, five day residential trips that includes zip wires, water based activity, archery and quad off-roading. This is then complimented by planning and delivering a Social Action Project in their local community in Norwich for the final two weeks.

Job Role Outline:
Attend 2 x 5 day residential trips followed by a two week project in the local community – all weeks are Monday to Friday. Working evening hours will be required for the residential trips only.
• Support and motivate a group of young people across a wide range of activities from adventure sport to fundraising
• Working with your group helping them to develop plans for their social
action project
• Supporting your team in the delivery of their project
• Completing all required monitoring, recording and reporting according to
• deadlines Adhere to all policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Behaviour Management, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection and Quality Assurance and follow all policies and procedures
Experience required
• Youth work or youth volunteering, preferably including intense team residential activities
• Proven organisational ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An understanding of good practice in relation to Child Protection and
Health and Safety.
• Competence in the use of IT packages (e.g. word processing, email, data entry).
• Ability to work effectively and enthusiastically in a team situation and on own initiative.
Pay rate: £8 x 180 hours over the four week period - All meals and transport provided for residential trips. You will be required to attend mandatory training on the dates below and you will also need to complete an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check – all costs met by the company.
Training dates are mandatory on 2nd & 9th May and the 16th June.
